River Gum has a specialist art room and a specialist art teacher. All Prep classes receive 40 mins sessions on a weekly basis. Grades 1 to 6 have hour long sessions once a week. The art room is designed to be an inclusive, interactive learning environment. The large workbenches are suitable for all grade levels and allow the children to create their masterpieces in their own space. A variety of mediums are used and discussed. The children have an opportunity to explore and create, expressing their individuality. The art room is situated in the main Administration block and the childrens art work is regularly displayed in the corridors. We also have a number of display cabinets to showcase individual work.
